For the protection of the purchaser and the seller, the puppy must be
examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of taking possession of
the puppy. If the puppy is found to have a life threatening hereditary
congenital defect or any major health problem at this exam, a replacement
puppy of equal value will be given, provided that the seller is notified within
24 hours after the exam. The replacement puppy will be mutually agreed
upon by both parties and will be of comparable quality. It is understood that
the replacement puppy may not be from the exact same parents as the
original puppy. If the buyer does not take the puppy to a licensed vet within
72 hours after the exam, this warranty becomes null and void. This puppy
must be returned to the Breeder along with the AKC registration papers
within 72 hours, at no expense to the breeder, with a signed document from
two non associated licensed veterinarians stating the defect or problem. We,
the breeder are not responsible for any veterinarian bills acquired by you,
the buyer.
Some disorders may be caused by environmental factors, for example:
cocidia, giardia, kennel cough, cancer, demodectic mange, scabies, pinkeye,
allergies and other auto immune system disorders and these are not covered
any other intestinal worms/parasites, as they are common in dogs and
puppies. Our puppies are vet checked prior to leaving our home and you
will be provided with his/her medical findings. This guarantee does not
include uneven bites, undescended testicles, Class I or II insignificant
murmurs, inguinal or umbilical hernias. We, the Breeder will not be
responsible for Parvo, Distemper or Cornona Virus after 48 hours of the
sale, as these are highly contagious diseases and they can be contracted
immediately after leaving the Breeder. We will not be responsible for
illness or health problems, which are diagnosed after this time period,
except where stated in this contract.
Your puppy is guaranteed for 1 year from the date of birth against life
threatening congenital defects. If within that time a life threatening
congenital defect (not to include parvo virus, distemper virus, heartworms or
any nutrition related disease) is attested to by TWO non-associated
veterinarians and the reason is congenital, the Breeder will replace the
puppy with another puppy of same breed, quality and price, if our Vet
agrees with the required written reports, for the two non-associated licensed
vets. The breeder must be notified at the onset of the problem in writing,
with a report from the veterinarians. The replacement will be subject to
availability (within 12 months). We do not refund money. We the breeder,
are not responsible for any veterinarian bills acquired by you, the buyer.
We will not be responsible for illness or any health problems, which are
diagnosed after these time periods.
In the unlikely event of this puppy's death in the first 1-year, due to
congenital defect, a statement from a Veterinarian confirming such an event
and cause is required before any action will be taken by the Breeder. If
cause is unknown, an autopsy is required. The Breeder will not be
responsible for Vet or Medical bills incurred.
This contract is valid for the original buyer that purchased the puppy from
MapleWood Boxers. If the puppy is transferred to another owner this
contract is null and void. This contract is null and void if any of the terms
and conditions are not fulfilled.
The guarantee must be signed and returned to me, Lynn Blauser on or
