WE would like to tell you a little about us and how we got to the point
of having our own breeding program here at MapleWood Boxers.
My husband's family had boxers when he was a young boy. When we
were dating, and the conversation turned to animals, he would tell me
about what great childhood memories he had of their boxers.
After we were married, I decided to surprise him with a boxer puppy.
He was speechless. We named him Max, and I was forever hooked.
So for 25 years we have had a Boxer, or two, and sometimes three in our
family. We agreed that someday we would breed our own Boxers. And so
finally, here we are.
Our goal is to breed happy, healthy Boxers with emphasis on a shorter
muzzle, pronounced jowls, lots of wrinkles. That old fashioned boxer
look !!
We want families to be able to enjoy the love and loyalty of this awesome
breed. We live in Jamestown Pa, on six acres of land, with about half
being woods (mostly maple trees). They have plenty of room to run and
play and get lots of exercise. They also have a fenced in play yard.
What makes us different than some other breeders is that our dogs are
truly part of our family, living in the house with us. We would not have it
any other way. Our puppies are whelped in our home, which makes for
well rounded, socialized pups, ready for their new families.
Thank you for letting us share our story with you. We love to "talk
Boxers" and like to show them off. We do not profess to know everything
there is to know about Boxers, but we are happy to share what we do
know with you.
